Intraoral Camera

Wouldn’t it be great if you could actually see what your dentist is talking about? Wouldn’t that make it so much simpler to understand what they are saying? With our intraoral camera, that’s exactly what we can do. This small, pen-sized camera can capture high-resolution images of your teeth and gums we can then display on a large, chairside monitor. They’ll help you gain a whole new understanding of your dental health, plus Dr. Silver will be able to show you exactly why he might be recommending a specific treatment.

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are an absolutely essential diagnostic tool in dentistry, but for years, they have caused many patients worry due to radiation exposure. Thankfully, with digital X-rays, that problem is largely solved. In addition to exposing our patients to 90% LESS radiation than a traditional X-ray, digital X-rays are also able to quickly develop images without the need of toxic darkroom chemicals. And, because the images are digital, they can be easily sent, stored, or displayed on a monitor for you to view with your dentist.

Digital Impression System

Thanks to our digital impression system, we can now create a fully digital 3D model of your bite without using goopy and odd-tasting dental putty. Rather, a small handheld device will be easily maneuvered through your mouth while taking dozens of unique images. On a nearby monitor, you can watch as these images are quickly “stitched” together to create the impression. This process is not only more comfortable than the traditional one, but it also creates a much more accurate impression as well, ensuring the quality of any treatment it is used for.

Soft Tissue Laser

Dental lasers allow our team to perform a wide variety of procedures less invasively and with more precision than ever. With LANAP, we’re able to easily perform even the most sensitive periodontal (gum) treatments while keeping a patient completely comfortable. The laser’s highly focused and gentle beam of light can instantly vaporize harmful bacteria located around the gum line and even painlessly remove infected tissue, all while keeping the surrounding healthy tissue completely untouched. Your body will be able to heal naturally, and the gum pockets will be reduced.

The Wand

The Wand anesthetic system

If you hate shots, then you’ll love the Wand. This device is able to remove that last uncomfortable bit from your dental care, namely the injection needed to administer local anesthetic. With the Wand, a small dab of anesthetic will be applied to the area topically before slowly administering the rest. This preparation and slow flow rate will eliminate any discomfort you might feel so that by the time you ask, “When are you starting?” we’ll already be done!

Cavity Detection System

DIAGNOdent cavity detection system

With our DIAGNOdent cavity detection system, we’re able to catch tooth decay during its very earliest stage without using small metal tools to probe the teeth. Rather, it scans the enamel with a light that is able to detect its thickness and indicate if there are any trouble spots. It can find decay way sooner than a typical exam, which will allow us to quickly intervene with conservative treatments to prevent a cavity from ever forming.

Air Abrasion

Instead of using a dental drill to remove decay from the teeth, we can provide air abrasion for a more comfortable and minimally invasive process. The handpiece will blow out a powerful air stream of tiny particles that bounce off the tooth. This method is effective in several situations, including preparing teeth for composite resin fillings or eliminating surface stains. There will be no heat, vibration, or loud sound for nervous patients to worry about!
